This is a bootcamp on small flash lighting and posing. Conducted in a small group (limited to 16 people), it provides an intimate hands-on learning environment. Participants will work one-on-one with models and experiment with softboxes and an array of light-shaping tools. You will learn off camera flash techniques and working with multiple flashes.

Registration { 8:30-9am }
Nailing the Exposure { 9-10 am }
Learn how to nail your exposure on camera rather than fixing it in Photoshop. This will be the foundation upon which the rest of the workshop is built upon.
Tea Break { 10-10:15am }
Let There be Light { 10:15am - 12:30pm }
Explore the power of small flashes. Louis will demonstrate multiple off-camera lighting techniques, radio triggering system, flash in TTL and manual modes...learn to use snoots, grids, softboxes, gels and on-camera white balance adjustments for creative effects.
Lunch { 12:30 - 1:30pm }
Posing, Posser & Possee { 1:30pm - 2:30pm }
Learn posing techniques that relaxes your subject and yields beautiful results. Big group and individuals, Louis will show how it’s done.
Hands-On Shoots { 2:30 - 4:30pm }
In groups of 3-4, participants will take turn to lead a shoot. This is where your forge the theories of exposure, lighting and posing into a final image. The clock is ticking. You’ll be sweating and stressing out as a photographer on assignment would.
Moving Forward { 4:30 - 5:30pm }
Louis will demonstrate the latest lighting technology that marries the portability of small flashes with the power of larger strobes. See how this can open up new possibilities for your photography.
